Entry Level applicants must schedule the NTN Frontline and ORPAT testing prior to scheduling an interview and must have completed the test prior to final job offer. Please visit the NTN website at www.nationaltestingnetwork.com for our posting and further information.

Community Service Officers, Lateral Officers, and Corporal applicants (including out of state) do not need to take the NTN Frontline test. The ORPAT may be waived at the Chief’s discretion and should not be scheduled at this time.

Out of state lateral officers hired by Sunriver Police Department may submit their basic training records for consideration by the Oregon DPSST for exemption from the basic course. Those officers will need to attend a two week DPSST certification course within the first year of Sunriver employment and successfully complete a lateral field training program.

Lateral Officers may be eligible to start at a higher pay step, and receive a bank of sick leave and vacation time based on their prior experience level. Lateral Officers (including Out of State) may also be eligible to obtain their intermediate/advanced DPSST certificates and subsequent incentive pay.
